Welcome to the Arc Focus portal, a site focused on the future of technology with particular regard to developing for a cross-platform future. This site serves as the source for information regarding projects and development at Arc Focus. Look here for news, events, and announcements, along with interactive discussion forums and employee contact information.
Arc Focus is dedicated to using the right tools for any job, and is currently engaged in projects developed using both .NET and Mono. This site is itself running on Linux using Mono with a PostgreSQL backend. We invite visitors interested in taking Mono for a test drive to look around this site and also to check out the “About the Portal” tab for an overview and instructions on running the portal yourself.

New Portal Release
This release of the portal (Version .5) is the most functional version yet. Along with several bug fixes, data access has been decoupled from the presentation layer paving the way for other data access layers to work within the portal (including IBuySpy???s original data access layer for SQL Server support). Download it from the "Download Instructions" section in "About the Portal".

Mono Beta 1 and Code-Behind Support in Portal
The newest version of the portal will run on Mono Beta 1, as well as on Microsoft???s ASP.NET. This makes for a great demonstration of the power of mono. It???s also useful for people who want to use PostgreSQL as a backend for IBuySpy running on any platform. Finally, thanks to Prj2make-sharp, we???ve added support for the Visual Studio (Code Behind) version of the Portal. You can find it all under "Download Instructions" in "About the Portal".

The First Mono Developer Meeting
March 5th - 6th Cambridge, MA
Had a great time up in Boston meeting the Mono team along with lots of early Mono adopoters. Things are really looking great for Mono. It's only going to get more exciting from here.

Linux Fair - North Texas Linux Users Group
Arc Focus appeared at its first public outing, including a test drive of the portal running on Mono and PostgreSQL. I enjoyed meeting all of the people interested in the future of Linux, plus Arc Focus and Mono were well received. Thank you.
